How to use Read Receipts in your Outlook Express e-mails!
A read receipt is an acknowledgement that an e-mail has been read. Using Outlook Express, you can attach a request for a read receipt to your e-mail by opening the Tools menu from your toolbar and selecting Request Read Receipt. This sends a request that the recipient acknowledge your e-mail as the e-mail is opened.
When the recipient opens the e-mail, a pop-up message prompts them to either acknowledge the e-mail, sending an automatic receipt back to you, or to not send the receipt. If the recipient chose to send the receipt, an e-mail will be sent to you confirming that the recipient has received your e-mail.
