Avoid Errors When Deleting Ranges in Excel 2000

If you use names instead of cell addresses in formulas and in functions then, later, if you delete one of these names, your formulas and functions will return the #NAME? error. That's because Excel won't automatically adjust your references when you delete a name. When you try to review these formulas, all you'll see is the #NAME? error in the formula bar, so restoring your formulas and functions could be quite a chore, especially if there are several of them to fix. Therefore, before deleting a range, check to make sure there are no named cells used in formulas and functions elsewhere. If you do find named cells in formulas and functions, open up the formulas and replace the names with the cell addresses.
