Adding large photos to your page can cost your guests long load times

Adding large photos to your page can cost your guests long load times. Instead, make a thumbnail of the photo and add the larger photo to a linked page. This way, you give your guest the choice of viewing the larger photo at a click and the benefit of shorter load times when accessing your page. Using FrontPage, it couldn't be easier to make thumbnails of your photos, here's how:

1. Insert the large image on the page.

2. From the Picture toolbar, click Auto Thumbnail.

3. If you wish, add a beveled edge using the Bevel tool on the same toolbar.
