Contact list filing

Outlook automatically files your contact names by last name first, first name last. If you would like to change this, here's how:

  1. With your Contacts list open, select Tools> Options and click Contact Options. 
  2. In the Default "File As" Order, choose First Last. 
  3. Click OK twice.

Also, If you have a company named Internet Fixes, Outlook will file it as Fixes, Internet. Here's how to change the way a particular contact is filed:

  1. Open the contact. 
  2. Select or type how you want the name to be displayed in the "File As" box. 
  3. Click Save And Close when you're done.
