You Can Create a Select Query without a wizard. Click New from the Database window with the Queries tab (or icon in Access 2000) selected. Then, select Design View and click OK. Next, add tables and queries from the Show Tables dialog box, and click Close. Join tables not linked or modify automatic joins. Drag and drop fields from the field list(s) to the design grid's field row. Enter criteria; sort specifications; calculated field expressions; groupings for computing sums, counts, and averages; as well as minimum and maximum values. Click the Run button on the toolbar to run the query and click Save to retain the settings for future reference.
