Use report bands to help format your reports. Without grouping, each report can have as many as five sections. They are, in Design View Order: Report Header, Page Header, Detail, Page Footer, and Report Footer. With the exception of the Detail section, you can control the appearance of these sections with items on the View menu. The Report Header and Footer sections occur just once each in a report at the very beginning and end of a report. The Page Header and Footer sections occur at the top and bottom on each page. The Detail section appears once for each record in a report's record source. A report can additionally contain up to 10 Group Header and Footer sections. Either a Header or a Footer section appears at the beginning or end for each Group section. By controlling the content in each report band, you can precisely format where and the number of times that material appears on a report. Report band location can also impact the behavior of expressions.
