Creating a new file and database in Access 2000. When opening Access 2000, choose Access database wizards, pages, and projects. Select the General tab. Double-click Project (under New Database). Enter a directory and name for the ADP file on the File New Database dialog before clicking Create. On the Microsoft SQL Server Database Wizard dialog, enter the SQL Server database name along with your login name and password (if you are using MSDE, these will always be blank at this point). Optionally, change the default name for the new database. Click Next in that dialog box and Finish in the next dialog box to complete the creation of the Access Project.
