Set All-Day Events in Your Outlook 97 Calendar
To block off events such as birthdays, holidays and anniversaries in your calendar, select the Calendar and choose Actions, New All Day Event. In the Event dialog, type a subject and location (and any other options that fit). If you'll be out of the office for the event, make sure to specify this in the Show Time As drop-down menu before you click Save and Close.
