Use Quickfind to Locate Contacts Anywhere
The Quickfind tool helps you to find contacts anywhere in Outlook. The Find A Contact combo box is at the far right of your Standard toolbar just before the Help button. Type a contact's name or the first few letters into it, and Outlook will look for a match in your contact folders and the Microsoft Exchange global address book. If there's more than one possible match, you'll be given a list to choose from.
