Change Display Name In Outlook 98 Want to change the name that appears in the From field of e-mails you send out? When you set up an e-mail account, Outlook asks you for this display name, but you can change it at any time. Let's say, for example, that currently your display name is Gary C, Jr. However, most people know you as Gary. Select Tools, Accounts, and on the Mail tab of the resulting dialog box, select your e-mail account. Click Properties and under User information, type a new name--in this case, Gary--in the Name field. Click OK, and the change goes into effect the next time you send an e-mail.
