Create an Emergency Repair Disk in Windows 2000 1. Go to Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools and click Backup. 2. On the General tab, click the Create an Emergency Repair Disk button. 3. When prompted, insert a blank, formatted floppy disk in your drive. Click OK. 4. When the process is complete, remove the disk, label it "Emergency Repair Disk," and then store it in a safe location. To restore your settings from the disk, you need your Windows 2000 CD, the Windows 2000 Setup disks, and the disk. During the restoration process, you can press F1 for more information about your options. Note : Because missing or corrupted files are replaced with files from the Windows 2000 CD, any changes you made to the system after the original installation are lost. |
