Create a New MMC Tool
- Click Start, Run, type "mmc"
without the quotes, click OK.
- A blank console window should
appear. Choose "Add/Remove Snap-in" from the "Console"
menu.
- An "Add/Remove
Snap-in" window should appear. Near the bottom left of that window,
click the "Add..." button.
- An "Add Standalone
Snap-in" window should appear. Choose one of the available management
tools, and click the "Add" button.
- Depending on the tool selected,
you may be prompted for more information, such as whether the tool will
apply to the local computer, or a remote computer.
- Repeat steps 4 and 5 for as many
tools as you want to appear in your custom MMC tool.
- Click the "Close"
button when finished selecting tools.
- Click the "OK" button
to return to the MMC window.
- From the
"Console" menu, choose "Save As" and save the console in
a handy place, with a meaningful name, such as "Gary's Special
Tools."
