Opening a file by using the Document Menu Click the Start button and then select Documents Click the name of the file you want to open. This assumes that you already have a file created. In this example, the file Eastside.jpg will open.
The Find command can be very useful when you are trying to locate files or folders on your computer. To locate a file or folder, click the Start button and then select Find. A submenu appears. Click Files or Folders.
Click inside the Named dialogue box. Type the name of the file or folder that you want to locate. You can specify where to search for the file or folder by clicking the arrow to the right of the Look in box. To begin the search, click the Find Now button. After the search is complete, the found files and folders will be listed. You can open a file or folder directly by double-clicking it.
