Stop items from running at boot-up in Windows 98

Click on "Start", then "Run". Type in "MSCONFIG" (without the quotation marks) and click "OK". 

In the Microsoft Configuration Utility, select the "Startup" tab. 

Uncheck the program that you do not want to run at start up. Exit the Utility saving the changes, restart your computer for this change to take affect.
