Using ScanReg Windows 98 has a DOS program for scanning your systems registry. It is used like this: /C:>scanreg /fix Where the "fix" switch is, you can use other switches as well. Notice that there is a space between "scanreg" AND /fix. /RESTORE Restore the registry to a specific backup /BACKUP Backup the registry /OPT This will remove wasted space in your Registry. Windows 98 will do this automatically when there is more than 500K of wasted space. /COMMENT="<a comment>" This will add a specific comment to the CAB file while backing up your registry. /FIX Fix your Registry
