Restart Windows 98 without rebooting

After you have installed new software (as an example) and Windows asks you to reboot your computer for the new settings to take affect, there is no need to reboot the machine, but rather to restart Windows.

Hold down the "Shift" key while pressing "OK" in the Shutdown dialog.
