To Change The Title Of The Secure Attention Sequence

To change the title of the Secure Attention Sequence (SAS = Ctrl+Alt+Delete), perform the following steps:

  1. Start the registry editor (regedit.exe). 
  2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon. 
  3. From the Edit menu, select New> String value. 
  4. Enter a name of Welcome, and press Enter. 
  5. Double-click the new value, add the text you want to display after Windows Security (e.g., for Internet Fixes Support), and click OK. 
  6. Close the registry editor. 
  7. Press the SAS sequence to see the new dialog box title.
