Missing The Windows Desktop My Computer, My Network Places, And/Or My Documents Icon

After installing Windows XP you will only have the Recycling Bin icon on the desktop. Users who are used to previous Windows setups and/or who enjoy having the My Computer, My Network Places, and/or My Documents icon on the desktop may wish to have these icons on their desktop. To enable these icons follow the below steps.

1. Right-click on the Desktop and click Properties.
2. In the Display Properties window click the Desktop tab.
3. Click the Customize Desktop button.
4. Within the General tab, check or uncheck the desktop icons you wish to display on the Desktop.
