Troubleshooting Bad Webpage Printouts
When you print a webpage using Internet Explorer 6, if the page comes out
looking odd because some of the background colors and images are omitted, there
is an easy fix. Click the "Tools" menu and choose "Internet Options". On the
"Internet Options" multi-tabbed dialog box that follows, select the "Advanced"
tab. Scroll down through the option until you see "Printing". Now, check "Print
background colors and images" and press "OK" to close the dialog box.
Note that there is a trade-off when doing this; your web pages may print slower
and you may use more toner or ribbon. Your printouts, however, should look much
nicer and much closer to what you see in the browser.
