Check Your Windows XP BOOT.INI File.

During the initial boot up it goes to the screen asking to either enter Windows XP SET UP or boot to Windows XP that's already installed.

Press the Windows Logo key + Pause Break key to bring up the Window shown below.

In the new Window Click on the Advanced Tab as shown in the Window below.

Under Startup & Recovery click Settings as shown in the Window below.

Under System Startup Click the Edit button as shown in the Window below.

For one O/S should be something like the Text or Image Below.
