Windows XP Restore Point Problems.

Restore points may be corrupted which can prevent other restore points from working. The following steps will show you how to delete all your Restore Points and then Recreate a New One.

1. Right click My Computer and Select Properties from the Popup Menu.

2. Click on the System Restore tab in the Window that opens.

3. Select Turn off System Restore>Click Apply and then OK.
This will delete all restore points.

Restart The PC.

4. Once the Computer is Restarted go back to System Restore tab and deselect Turn off System Restore.

5. Now click on the Start Menu> Programs> Accessories> System Tools> System Restore.

6. Choose the option Create a restore point.

7. Enter a brief description.

8. Click on Create.  Once you have clicked on Create you will end up at the screen shown

below in which you can Perform Another Task by clicking Home or Exit by clicking on Close.
