You Can No Longer Click On The Link And Have It Take You To The Website.

You have noticed that when you get an email with an attached link you can no longer click on the link and have it take you to the website. When you click on the link, you get a Window's box that says "Locate Link Browser" and in the Files of Type box in says "Executable files".

Try the following:

1. Open the Control Panel by Selecting Start >Settings > Control Panel.

2. Select The Tools Menu > Folder Options.

3. Select 'File Types' Tab.

4. Scroll down and find the 'File Type' for HTM and HTML (NOT URL:Internet Shortcut)

5. Highlight and Select the 'Advanced' button.

6. Select the action 'open'.

7. Choose the button 'EDIT'.

8. Check that DDE is enabled - if not just tick the box.
