Q. I
would like to know some great things about
Windows XP registry like ,how to show
version of Windows on the desktop right bottom.
A.
I believe what you are looking for is a program named BGInfo. This program can
show a bunch of information, including the version of
Windows, on the desktop.
It defaults to being in the bottom right hand corner of the
desktop, but you
can change the position, if you want. Also, it is not hooked to the wallpaper,
so you can change the wallpaper all you want and still have it showing. It was
created by a company named SysInternals, (Now Gobbled Up By Microsoft)
which is a company that I trust very much, and they make a lot of other useful
utilities (although most of them are only useful to people who are familiar with
the inner workings of the
operating system).
You can find out more about BGInfo and download it from "http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/utilities/BgInfo.mspx".
As for how to speed up your computer, there is not a whole lot that I can go
into there. About all I can do is recommend that you
See My Spring Cleaning Article and then go to "http://www.PCPitstop.com"
and go through their full battery of tests. They will then provide you with
some suggestions on how to get your computer working better.
I hope this helps.
