Q.  When I go to Start / All Programs, I get a list that is in an order that is understood only by the computer gods.  How do I get that listing to be in Alphabetical order?

A.  Whenever a new item is added to the Start Menu's All Programs list, it is added at the bottom. Therefore, before any sorting is done, the list is in the order of how items were added to the Start Menu.  To get the list in alphabetical order, right-click anywhere on the All Programs list and select the "Sort by Name" option.  Every now and then you will need to go back in and do this to sort out the newly added items, too.

Also, please note that all the sub-folders on the All Programs list will be sorted in the same way. Fortunately, most programs will add their items to the Start Menu in alphabetical order, so it is not as noticeable there.  If you do notice any of those sub-folders out of order, then you can sort them in the same way.
