Q.  I’ve got 2 files of MS Outlook emails which are of 1GB each. How do I backup of those files? CDs are maximum 700MB. So is there any other way I can back up those files in a place other than My PC.

A.  DVDs can hold 4.8 GB worth of data (some can even hold 9.6 GB), but you would need a DVD Burner drive to be able to store data on a DVD.  There are some 1 - 2 GB Thumb Drives (or USB Drives or whatever else they are called), but they can get somewhat expensive.

You could try using a compression program, such as WinZip (available at
http://www.winzip.com), to reduce the size of the file.  Also, some of the compression programs have the ability to "zip across media", which means you could create a single file across multiple disks/CDs/DVDs.  That would be the cheapest way for you to go.

Let me know if you need anything else.
