Readers Questions.IF01693 Q. I am receiving the following error message when i try to run the disk defragmenter. "Disk defragmenter has detected that Chksdk is scheduled to run the volume: R...(C:). Please run Chkdsk /f." There is no disk F which was a removable flash drive. What can I do? Thanks for your help. A. The "/f" part of the command is telling the chkdsk utility to fix any errors on the disk. The drive it wants you to run this command on is the C: drive, not the F: drive. You can run this command by opening up Windows Explorer or My Computer, right-clicking on the C: drive, and selecting Properties. Then click on the "Check Now..." button on the Tools tab. Make sure to check the checkbox labeled "Automatically fix file system errors" and then click on the Start button. Let me know if you need anything else.
