Default action "search" instead of "open"? (In my computer) opens.
Here a
stumper for me. Maybe you know how to fix it.
When in my computer, if I double click on any of the drives, it opens up a
search window instead of opening the folder! Its so annoying. I have to
Right Click and select 'open' every time.
If I right click, the menu opens there and 'search' is on the top in bold
instead of 'open'.
I don’t know how I messed it up, but if you know how to change the default
action.
PLEASE HELP!

Give the following a try.
Go to
Start/Run and type in the following:
regsvr32 /i shell32
Click OK
Note that the spacing is important.
It is
important to note that there is never one fix for a question.
