Do You Have Any More Performance Boosts For Windows XP?

A. I get about a half dozen of this type questions a week. Here is one more. Click Start then Control Panel then select System then click on the Advanced Tab then under Performance click on Settings

Disable (uncheck) the following:

Fade or slide menus into view
Fade or slide ToolTips into view
Fade out menu items after clicking
Show Shadows under menus
Slide open combo boxes
Slide taskbar buttons
Use a background image for each folder type
Use common tasks in folders

Click Apply and your new settings will take effect.
