IF01768 Transfer User Accounts, System Settings from XP to Vista.Windows Easy Transfer in Windows Vista is a new way to transfer / copy Documents, Local User accounts etc from one computer to another. This new Windows Easy Transfer is capable of transferring between older Windows OS's like Windows XP and Windows 2000 towards Windows Vista. Exception for Windows 2000 is the transfer of system and program settings.  Figure 1: Windows Easy Transfer in Vista To start Windows Easy Transfer in Windows Vista you will have to do the following: 1) Click START, type c:\windows\system32\migwiz\migwiz.exe and hit ENTER. (see figure 2)  Figure 2: Starting Windows Easy Transfer in Windows Vista 2) You can also browse to c:\windows\system32\migwiz and double click migwiz.exe, after this the Windows Easy Transfer wizard will popup and you're off to go. (see figure 1)
