If you've downloaded several different CD players such as Windows Media Player or Real Player If you've downloaded a couple of different CD players such as Windows Media Player or Real Player, then chances are you have made one of them your Default player. If you want to get back to basics and make the Windows CD Player your Default player again, here's how: Go to View, Folder Options in any folder and click the File Types tab. Scroll down to Audio CD, select it, and then click the Edit tab. Select Play, click Edit again, and under Application Used To Perform Action, type C:\WINDOWS\Cdplayer.exe Click OK and then click Close twice to exit.
