During a typical installation, Windows 98 installs the following TrueType fonts into the Windows\Fonts folder.
Because Windows 98 or other applications may require one or more of these fonts to run and to display dialog boxes correctly. It is recommended you do not remove them from the Fonts folder.
Windows 98 also installs several hidden font files (e.g., Marlett.ttf, Dosapp.fon, and Vgafix.fon), which do not appear in Windows Explorer or in the Fonts Control Panel, but may appear in font management utilities, such as Ares FontMinder.
Windows requires these hidden font files to run. Do not remove them from the Fonts folder.
