Optimize Your Windows 98 Registry

The Windows registry is a huge database of information compiled of every nook and cranny of your Operating System. As you add information and delete information, you will tend to get virtual holes in your registry. A manual way of dealing with these holes is to run a DOS based program called ScanReg.

By booting to your MS-DOS prompt, you type in: scanreg /opt

This will compact your registry and optimize it for you.
