A fast way to jump between applications using the keyboard If you are running many applications at one time like many of us do, there is a fast way to jump between applications using the keyboard. Just hold down the Alt key then the tab key. Depressing the tab key again will move the cursor and it will then surround the next application. When you let go of the Alt key, Windows will bring up the application that was last surrounded by the cursor.
