Set XP To Automatic Logon

Despite the fact that it is a huge security risk and I don't recommend this on a Business Network, many folks prefer to have it set so that Windows will auto-log them in (without asking for a Password). This guide is for those who want to set Windows XP to auto-log them in.

Click on start.jpg,  and then Run.jpg  Type in CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2 then click on the OK.jpg   Button.

Select the user/users to which you want to be able to auto-logon, and uncheck Users Must Enter A User Name and Password To Use This Computer

Click Apply, then You will have to type in the current password.

Then Reboot and the computer should now auto-login you on. (Note: for XP Home Edition, don’t select to auto login as the Built In Administrator , you will get restriction errors)
